Meet the team at Fitbug Fitness Classes Junction 6.
My name is Sinead Mulvey. When I was younger, all I wanted to do is dance. I have attended dance schools and performed in theatres. It has always been a passion of mine, I’m happy when I’m dancing. In 2010 I decided I wanted to make a living from it. I wanted to share my passion and enthusiasm with others.
This is where Zumba came in to my life. I have earned qualifications in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Kids, Zumba toning, Piloxing SSP, Piloxing Knockout and Boxing just to name a few.
I am motivated by my students and they inspire me so much. I love to see them having fun, smiling while getting a great workout. People come to our classes for many reasons, to get fit, burn calories, escape the outside world, meet new people, leave home or work problems at the door, forget the traffic and have fun…. My aim is to ensure you have the best possible hour because it is all about you!!
From a young age I have been very active in sports. I ran track and cross country, played snooker, won trophies for karate, played GAA for Synge Street school and club, I have been an avid mountain biker since the age of 10 or so and in the last 5 years I have taken to road cycling.
This has brought me to many beautiful places covering thousand’s of kilometers. I have cycled around Ireland twice with the “Cycle Against Suicide” promoting positive mental health. It is here that I realised how much of an impact fitness has physically, but also on your mental well being.
I then took on the challenge of cycling to Rome from Malahide covering 2183 kilometers in 14 days raising over €7000 for the Childhood Cancer Foundation. It was after this that I decided to get involved in the fitness industry.
I became a qualified Personal Trainer/Fitness instructor by November 2015 and I have thrived helping other’s reach personal goals.
For me it all started way back in 1996 where I worked as a fitness instructor in a ladies only gym in Berkshire in England. This is where I gained my fitness instructor qualification, exercise to music and spinning instruction certificates. I then progressed on to club manager, but my passion was always teaching and helping the wonderful ladies in the gym.
I have since renewed all of my qualifications certifying me in Spinning, Strength & Conditioning, group training, personal training and RT24.
I love what I do, I love meeting new people and helping them on their journey whether its fitness, weight loss, or improving their well-being.
I am so proud to be part of the Fitbug team, the members are always a pleasure to train and I love being surrounded by positive happy people, that’s what makes the job so rewarding.
After all, is it really a job?
When I was a teenager, all I wanted to do was dance. My biggest passion is dancing with my favourite styles would be new wave, hip hop and break dance
In 2012, one of my friends asked me to attend a Zumba class with them, which I did, and I loved every minute. It was from that moment that I knew I wanted to get qualified and teach Zumba classes
I became a qualified Zumba B1 instructor in Ireland in 2015.
When I see our customers leaving our Fitbug studio with a smile, it reminds me that it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Fitbug is such a happy environment.
Zumba and music is my passion and I love to share it, to motivate people, to encourage them to workout, to dance, to burn calories and to get fit while having fun.
My goal is to meet and exceed their expectations, to ensure everyone is leaving the class with happy faces.
When I started with Fitbug, I had no idea how much fun it would be. My role within Fitbug varies so much that I never get bored. I find it incredible that Sinead and Eoin come up with so many new ideas.
Every now and then, they shock me…. But it’s a credit to them that they are always thinking ahead. They are never willing to settle and are continuing to look at new idea’s to improve their service, improve their facility and improve the quality which you pay for within your membership.
I help with the running of the company behind the scenes. I’m in my element when I need to find information, set up new systems and compile information which is relevant to the business.
They give me the responsibility and the freedom to make decisions. Sometimes I have to steer them away from an idea because it’s just bonkers… I wouldn’t have it any other way, Fitbug is the place to be!!
I became a fitness instructor over 15 years ago. This job has allowed me to travel a lot and experience different cultures. I played American football as a hobby; I played baseball and fought in Kempo karate at competitive levels. I was also a semi professional in mixed martial arts until injury prevented me from progressing further.
I get pleasure from helping others on their weight loss or fitness journeys. When I see people progressing, it gives me a sense of pride and satisfaction to see their transformation.
I am really passionate about movement patterns as this helps to prevent injuries while increasing levels of difficulty. I really enjoy educating people about nutrition and lifestyle habits to support their goals.
Life is an educational journey and this is no different for me or my clients. When I learn something new, I can pass this information on to help others on their personal experience.
I have worked in many gyms before but I really enjoy the personal touch in Fitbug fitness and the concept that they have. All of my colleagues and our customers are so friendly; it never feels like a job.
